Connections

I have not yet finalized my decision on which school to attend. But in the mean time I am what would formally be called a transition plan. In plain English it means I am hoping that our upcoming move won't be a pain in the rear.

There are obvious moving hassles including bills, furniture, housing and timing. There are also more subtle environmental issues including job transition and finding a new gym. By far the most difficult and important to us however are the new connections that will need to make while maintaining important relationships we've established. Our friends and church family are almost all here in RTP. I'm not looking forward to putting distance between us, but I also realize this is part of a healthy progression. We've had so much support during this process already.

One piece that has also helped is the reaching out by existing Babcock and Darden students to assist with this transition. No one understands better the difficulties than someone who has just experienced it. I have exchanged several emails with students at both programs. I have been very curious about the transition from working professional back to student. As a result I've sent more than one "how did you manage...?" email inquiry.
