Meet the Peeps

One of the absolutely best parts of starting a new program is meeting new people from all over the US and beyond. We share a common set of circumstances and goals which makes it easy to understand each other right away. I've recently met incoming students from DC, New York and Texas. It surprises me that folks from big cities chose Darden. Charlottesville life is much different than big city. For some they wanted a change of pace, and others simply sought the structure of the Darden case-based program.

This coming weekend, we'll be going on a camping trip organized by Darden SY (second year) students. The Darden Outdoor Club traditionally schedules this outing the weekend before classes start as a social event. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people and taking some rides on the Shenendoah river.
